Experienced players showed lesser sports achievement motivations when compared to novice players.
2024-09-16T00:00:00+0530Copyright (c) 2024 Somya Joseph, Moby Thomashttps://ijems.net/index.php/ijem/article/view/433Kinesthetic Sense and Basketball Proficiency: Comparative Analysis Between Male and Female Basketballers of SAI Hostel2024-12-21T08:51:41+0530Sumit Kumar Yadavsumitbhu221005@gmail.com
This study explores how male and female basketball players at the Sports Authority of India's hostel differ in their body awareness (kinesthetic perception) and basketball skills. We tested 20 male and 20 female national-level players, aged 18 to 25, using the Johnson Basketball Skill Test and Kinesthetic Obstacle Test. The results show that male players generally have a higher kinesthetic perception score compared to females, suggesting a possible gender-based difference in body awareness. However, we need more information (standard deviation values) to understand how much individuals vary within each group. The study suggests practical recommendations for training and coaching. We propose creating training programs that consider these gender differences and using personalized coaching strategies based on individual needs. Additionally, we recommend interventions that focus on improving both body awareness and basketball skills. Our study points to the importance of considering gender-specific training and coaching approaches. These findings highlight the potential for tailored interventions to enhance athlete performance by addressing gender-related differences in body awareness. Overall, this research provides valuable insights into how kinesthetic perception may impact male and female basketball players, urging further investigation for practical implications in sports training.
2024-09-17T00:00:00+0530Copyright (c) 2024 Sumit Kumar Yadavhttps://ijems.net/index.php/ijem/article/view/447EFFECT OF SIX WEEKS THERAPEUTIC EXERCISES TRAINING ON CHOLESTEROL LEVEL & DIASTOLIC BLOOD PRESSURE AMONG TYPE II DIABETIC PATIENTS2024-12-21T08:51:34+0530Manoj Singhmanojphyedu@gmail.comBakhsis Singhbakhsissingh001@gmail.com
The aim of this study: The focus of this investigation was to find out the effect of six weeks therapeutic training on cholesterol level & diastolic blood pressure among type-II diabetes patients.

Methodology: Thirty male diabetic patients (15 control group + 15 experimental group) were selected for this study from two districts (Fazlika and Patiala) of Punjab state. Personality was measured by applying the Big Five Personality Questionnaire developed by Oliver, P. John & Sanjay Srivastava (1999). One way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was applied to find out the significance differences with regard to personality among combat sport athletes. Post hoc test (Scheffe) was used to find out the paired means significance difference where 'F' value found statistically significant. The level of significance was set at 0.05. Significant differences were found among combative athletes with regard to Agreeableness (p≤0.05), Conscientiousness (p≤0.05) and Openness (p≤0.05).
2024-09-20T00:00:00+0530Copyright (c) 2024 Sandeep, Amandeep Singh, Vishaw Gauravhttps://ijems.net/index.php/ijem/article/view/313Effect Of 3 Weeks Circuit Training On Speed And Strength Among Students2024-12-21T08:50:04+0530Nisha Saininisha.phyedu@gmail.comBeant Singhbeantbrar454@gmail.comGautam Sainigautamsaini714@gmail.com
The aim of the study was to find out the effect of circuit training among students of master of physical education, Punjabi University, Patiala.
